Youth goes to estranged wife’s house to see child, father-in-law attacks him, knocks his tooth out

ALAPPUZHA: The Kurathikad police arrested Vijayan (58) of Bharanikavu Kandankara Vilayil House, for brutally attacking a youth amidst a verbal dispute. The injured has been identified as Rajmohan, who has been estranged from his wife for the past four years.

His wife had the other day left her child to her house in Bharanikavu and then goes out with another person. When Rajmohan went to meet his child, his father-in-law attacked him. Vijayan threw an iron rod at Rajmohan’s face knocking his teeth out. He also sustained facial injuries. The accused was arrested by sub inspector Baiju, Binduraj, senior CPOs Noushad, Arun Kumar and Shyam under the leadership of Kurathikad ISHO (inspector station house officer) P K Mohit. The accused has been remanded.
