Electric scooter catches fire; no casualty

PALAKKAD: An electric scooter that was running in Nenmara caught fire. The scooter on which Kinassery native M Nias and his wife were travelling was destroyed in the fire. The incident took place at Vithanassery around 10 am today. No one was hurt.

The couple was going to the hospital in Nenmara. When they saw smoke coming from the scooter, both of them stopped the vehicle and stood aside and a major accident was avoided. RC book and other documents were inside the scooter, which was also burnt down. Kollengode fire brigade rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.
