Two dead in KSRTC bus-scooter collision

KONDOTTY: Two youths died after a KSRTC bus overtaking a pickup van on the Kozhikode-Palakkad highway at Neettanimal hit a scooter. The deceased scooter passengers were identified as Muhammad Nihal (19), son of TV Yusuf, and Amjad (19), son of Mansoor. The accident took place between Kolathur and Kottapuram near Neettani Church around 2.30 pm yesterday. Both of them were thrown on the road due to the impact of the hit. The locals took them to private hospitals in Kondotty, but they could not be saved. Both completed their Plus Two this year and were preparing for higher studies.

Safia is Nihal's mother. Hanifa Farhan and Ayesha Parveen are siblings.

Hyrunisa is the mother of Amjad. Aflah, Arshad and Adam are brothers. The bodies kept at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital will be handed over to the relatives today after the post-mortem.
