New Zealand crosses 200-run mark as rain stops play

MANCHESTER: Rain stopped play at the Cricket World Cup semi-final match between India and New Zealand. New Zealand, who opted to bat against India after winning the toss made 211 for the loss of 5 wicket in the 46.5 overs that were bowled.

New Zealand endured a difficult start as they lost Guptill early to a Jasprit Bumrah delivery. Then skipper Kane Williamson (67) and Ross Taylor (67*) steadied the innings. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham (3*) is at the crease.

All five bowlers of India picked up one wicket each.

India made one change in their playing eleven, replacing Kuldeep Yadav with Yuzvendra Chahal. A fit again Lockie Ferguson replaced Tim Southee in the New Zealand line-up.
