Youth arrested with MDMA in Thrissur; Sold drugs on pretence of fishing

PAVARATTY: Youth arrested with MDMA near Ponnamatha Chemban bridge in Thrissur. Krishnakumar (30), a native of Choondal, was arrested. The police had been monitoring him for days as he was roaming around Kannoth Padam and selling drugs on the pretence of fishing. The accused mainly targeted school and college students. The accused was remanded after he was produced at the Chavakkad JFCM court.

The accused was arrested under the leadership of Pavaratty Police SHO M K Ramesh. SI Vysakh D, Joshi MJ, ASI Jose, Senior CPOs Sivaprasad, Sivadasan, Jayakrishnan, Jithin and Faisal were also part of the team.

Pavaratty SHO MK Ramesh said that when the mobile phone of the accused was inspected, it was found that many school students were regularly buying drugs from him.
