KOTTAYAM: Mathew Kuzhalnadan answered the questions of CPM State Secretary M V Govindan. Mathew Kuzhalnadan responded that he had not violated the Land Act in Munnar and had only carried out legal construction. Violation of the law occurs when a building for industrial purposes is constructed in the occupied land.
At present, the building in Chinnakanal is under residential permit. It is legal. But Kuzhalnadan has alleged that the AKG Center, where M V Govindan held a press conference against him is an illegally constructed building.
Kuzhalnadan stated that Govindan is trying to defend the accusation against T Veena and that he ran the homestay under license. ‘Nothing illegal has been done. Apart from legal practice, no other business has been carried on. There is no foreign investment of 9 crores.’
‘M V Govindan is trying to create a smokescreen'. He added. Mathew Kuzhalnathan also asked whether the district secretaries who raised allegations against him have the courage to say that they do not have assets beyond their income.
