Traffic jam, man drives up auto through foot bridge; Arrested

NEW DELHI: The driver who drove his autorickshaw through the foot overbridge to escape from the traffic jam in the city was arrested. The incident took place at the Hamdard Nagar red light in the Sangam Vihar traffic circle in Delhi. Munna (25), an autorickshaw driver and Amit, a resident of Sangam Vihar who assisted him were arrested.

The autorickshaw was stuck on the road below the foot overbridge. Then he drove the autorickshaw up the steep stairs. Amit ran up the stairs and was providing instructions. After that, he also entered the autorickshaw. Pedestrians were initially surprised to see the vehicle unexpectedly on the footpath. Later, the way was cleared for the autorickshaw to proceed.
