Girl sleeping with parents abducted and sexually abused in Aluva, child found in field

KOCHI: A girl who was sleeping with her parents was abducted and sexually abused in Aluva. The tragic incident happened at Chathanpuram in Aluva Thursday morning at around 2 am. The strangers abducted the eight-year-old girl who was sleeping with her migrant parents.

The girl was found lying naked in a nearby field at the end of a search led by the locals. Aluva SP informed that the accused has been identified. The suspect is a Malayali. An eyewitness and the child have identified the accused. He will be arrested soon.

The child who sustained injuries is presently undergoing treatment at Kalamassery Medical College Hospital. The condition of the child is not serious. The family lives in an unsecured house in Chathanpuram where many migrants live.


A five-year-old daughter of a migrant was raped and killed in Aluva one and a half months ago.
