THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cristil Raj, who was arrested for abducting and sexually assaulting the daughter of a migrant worker in Aluva, is a vicious criminal, the police said. Cristil, a native of Chengal in Parassala, is an accused in a case of sexually abusing a mentally challenged woman in 2017. According to the police, he is an accused in several theft cases. Neighbours said that Cristil stays at home all day and goes out at night.

Cristil Raj started stealing mobile phones at the age of 18. He has stolen several mobile phones. Several mobile phones believed to be stolen were found in his house. Cristil Raj abducted an eight-year-old girl from her house in Chathanpura, Aluva on Thursday morning. After sexually abusing the child, he fled after leaving her in the nearby field.
