Forest watcher killed in wild elephant attack in Athirappilly

THRISSUR: A forest watcher was killed in a wild elephant attack at Athirappilli's Pokalapara. Irumban Kumaran, watcher of Kollathirumedu forest station, has been identified as the deceased. The incident took place at Pachilakulam - Karadipara area around 3 pm today. Irumban Kumaran was killed by a 'makhna'. The forest department team went to check inside the forest.

Last day there was an attack of wild animals on a plantation worker's house. The elephant demolished the house of Kaladi Plantation Corporation plantation worker Abhilash. The incident happened yesterday morning. The elephant broke the kitchen area and entered the house and destroyed all the things inside. The door and windows are completely broken. Abhilash and his team went home to celebrate Onam and a major disaster was averted.
