MUMBAI: A six-storey building caught fire here. However, no one was seriously injured. 33 people including two newborn babies were rescued. The fire broke out at Saki Naka in Andheri East, Mumbai at around 9 am yesterday. According to the fire department, the fire started from the electricity meter box on the ground floor.
The fire quickly spread to the upper floors, but the intervention of the nearby residents and the fire force helped. The babies were on the second floor. The Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation informed that the fire was brought under control by 10.45 am.
