Harsheena to stage strike in front of secretariat on Wednesday

KOZHIKODE: In connection with the incident where scissors was left in her stomach during a delivery operation, Harsheena will stage a strike in front of the secretariat today demanding adequate compensation. Opposition leader VD Satheesan will inaugurate the strike at 10.30 am. Ramesh Chennithala, PK Kunjalikutty, K Muralidharan and others will deliver speeches. Harsheena had ended her 104-day long satyagraha in front of the Kozhikode Medical College when four people, including doctors, were submitted as accused by Medical College Assistant Commissioner K Sudarshan and their arrest was recorded.

The report submitted by the Assistant Commissioner to the court completely rejects the Health Minister's contention that it is not clear from where the scissors got in the body. Harsheena has demanded Rs 50 lakh as compensation.
