Attempted to sexually abuse minor girl; 72-year-old 'English Man' nabbed by police

POTHENCODE: Police have arrested an elderly man who attempted to sexually abuse a minor girl. Kaniyapuram native Krishnankutty Nair (72), who is also known as English Man, was arrested by the Mangalapuram police under the POCSO Act. The accused has been running a shop called Sridevi Store at Keezhavoor Junction.

The accused tried to sexually abuse the girl when she came to his shop to buy some things. The incident came to light when a teacher questioned the girl after seeing her sitting in a depressed state. Following this, the school authorities informed Childline, and the accused was soon arrested by the police.
