KOCHI: Social activist Girish Babu, who created a sensation in the Kerala politics through several public interest litigations, has been found dead. He was found dead at his house in Kalamassery. He was staying here with his family. It is reported that Girish was undergoing treatment for several health issues. The police reached his house and started the inquest proceedings.
Girish had filed pleas seeking a vigilance probe in Palarivattom corruption and monthly payment case against chief minister’s daughter Veena Vijayan. The court had dismissed the plea filed in Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court demanding a vigilance probe in the monthly payment case. He later filed a plea in the high court. He died when the high court was to consider the monthly payment case today.
