THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Free Wi-Fi will be available in 2000 more public places through the K-Fi scheme of the state government. An administrative sanction of Rs 20 crore has been given for the project, which is being implemented through the IT Mission. Many bus stands, district administration centres, panchayat centres, parks, major government offices, libraries and major government hospitals have already been providing free Wi-Fi facilities under this scheme. The 2,000 new Wi-Fi hotspots are being prepared in addition to this.
