Kannothumala road accident; Families of deceased to receive Rs 10 lakh each

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet meeting has decided to allocate financial assistance from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the family members of 9 people who tragically lost their lives and 5 people who sustained serious injuries in the Kannothumala road accident at Mananthavadi, Wayanad. Each family of the deceased will receive Rs 10 lakh, and those seriously injured will receive Rs 3 lakh each. Additionally, a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh has been approved for the dependents of the individuals who lost their lives in the boat overturning accident at the Aanavaari side of Peachy Dam.

Transformers and Electricals Kerala Ltd. will be provided with a government guarantee of Rs. 40 crores to facilitate them in obtaining a loan from banks or financial institutions. This government guarantee extends to borrowing from various financial institutions, including Kerala Bank and nationalized banks such as KSIDC and KFC in support of Autocast Ltd.'s loan application for Rs 10 crore.
