PM Modi invites Joe Biden as chief guest for Republic Day celebrations

NEW DELHI: US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited US President Joe Biden to be the chief guest at the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. The invitation was issued during the G20 summit.

During the first Modi government, the then US President Barack Obama was the chief guest at the Republic Day Parade in 2015. Egypt's President Abdel Fattah was the chief guest on the last Republic Day.
