NEW DELHI: Indian medical graduates can now practice in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The graduates have got this opportunity after getting the recognition of Indian National Medical Commission (NMC) and World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
The National Medical Commission of India has granted approval for ten years. This will be useful for those studying in existing 706 medical colleges. This will not only create more opportunities for medical students in the country but also improve the quality of medical education in India.
After being recognized at world class level, Indian education will attract students from other countries as well. The WFME accreditation will also enhance the international recognition and reputation of medical colleges and professionals in the country, according to a statement released by the authorities.
