KOCHI: This year's Onam bumper lottery of Rs 25 crores was won by four youths from Tamil Nadu. Natarajan, one of the four, said that he bought the Onam bumper ticket from Walayar when he came to see a friend who was injured in an accident and never thought that he would win the first prize. Natarajan bought tickets along with his friends Kuppuswamy, Pandyaraj and Ramaswamy.
'On the way back from seeing a friend who was sick, the four of us took three lotteries together. I didn't even think of winning. Even when many people called and said that we had won the lottery, I did not believe it. There is great joy. Thanks also to Kerala Govt. They said we will get the money in a month. We haven't decided what to do with the money. The absence of three other friends was due to a family problem', said Natarajan.
