Fever cases going up in Kerala; two deaths, 57 dengue cases reported today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the rain intensifying, contagious diseases are on the rise in Kerala. Two people died due to fever on Saturday. The state also saw an increase in daily patients. 57 cases of dengue fever and 12 cases of leptospirosis (rat fever) were reported today. 8252 people sought treatment in the hospital today. Malappuram district is leading in the number of patients.

1254 people sought treatment in the district. The situation is not different in Kozhikode, Ernakulam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts. The health department has stated that there is a high possibility of dengue fever and rat fever spreading because of the intermittent rains. It also said that people should exercise extreme caution.
