Kerala to receive heavy rain till Friday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: According to the Met department, isolated heavy rain is possible in the state till Friday due to the influence of low pressure formed in northwest Bay of Bengal near West Bengal-Odisha coast. Rains will be heavy in north-central districts. Thunderstorms are also possible.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts received isolated but heavy rains yesterday. Due to the possibility of landslides in the hilly areas, special caution has been issued.

Fishing is not allowed on Kerala coast. Coastal residents are advised to be cautious.
