THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 150 selected AYUSH Health Centres of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy have been upgraded to NABH standard.
Minister Veena George informed that this is the first time that so many government sector AYUSH health institutions in the state are applying for NABH accreditation. The final evaluation by NABH central team of institutions is in progress. With NABH recognition, the best quality can be ensured in the field of AYUSH emergency services. NABH accreditation is achieved following assessments of service standards including infrastructure development, patient friendliness, patient safety, drug quality and infection control. Rs 532.51 crores have been allocated for the AYUSH sector in two years.
