‘Joju also part for success of strike staged for common people, a good friend now’; Shiyas shares pic

Ernakulam DCC President Muhammad Shiyas shared a picture of him with actor Joju George. Both had come to pay their last respects when the body of late director K G George was kept for public homage at the Town Hall. Actor Joju George had protested against the road blockade staged by the Congress in the fuel price hike and the latter had then demanded action against the actor. Shiyas met Joju after a gap.

Without keeping any trace of personal animosity, Shiyas noted that it is a good sign of democracy to become a venue for the debate on social responsibility. Joju's intervention also contributed to the success of a completely fair strike. Respecting his sentiments as a good artist, the Congress’ priority will be the fight for the common man who has no privilege. Shiyas also noted that he is happy that his acquaintance with Joju has grown into a friendship since then.
