KARACHI: Mufti Qaiser Farooq (30), one of the leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was gunned down in a firing by unknown assailants in Karachi yesterday.
The dead Mufti Qaiser Farooq was one of the close followers of Hafiz Saeed, one of the founding members of the Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Hafiz Saeedee is known as the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

It is reported that he was killed in an unknown firing in an area near a drug establishment in Samanabad the other day. Farooq, who was shot in the back, was admitted to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment. A ten-year-old child was also injured in the firing.
