Kerala govt sanctions Rs 30 cr to KSRTC, first instalment of salaries to be paid soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala government has sanctioned Rs 30 crore as monthly financial assistance to KSRTC. With this, first installment of salary for September will be paid immediately. Government funding is expected to reach KSRTC's account tomorrow. Rs 38.5 crores is required for the first installment of salary. 8.5 crore of this will be collected by KSRTC. Of the Rs 50 crore bank overdraft taken to pay salaries in previous months, only Rs 3 crore has been repaid. That too will be recovered and the first installment of salary will be paid. Management is on the move to pay salaries for within October 5.
