11-year-old on bicycle hit by private bus in Kannur; locals vandalize bus

KANNUR: A school student was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Taliparamba Kappalam in Kannur. Bilal (11), a student of Trichambaram UP School, was injured. The speeding private bus crashed into Bilial who was on his bicycle. Immediately after the incident, Bilal was rushed to a private hospital in Kannur.

The accident happened around 10:15 on Sunday morning. The child was crossing the road on a bicycle. At this time, the bus, which was trying to overtake an autorickshaw, lost control and came crashing on the bicycle.

In the brutal impact of the clash, Bilal was thrown to the road. Locals immediately intervened and shifted the child to the hospital. The enraged locals also vandalized the bus.

In another incident that shocked Kerala just a few days back, Shaiju and his wife Jeema were crushed to death after a private bus that was traveling just behind them lost control and hit the couple's scooter and crushed them to death.
