30 people injured as KSRTC buses carrying Sabarimala pilgrims collide

PATHANAMTHITTA: 30 people were injured after two KSRTC buses carrying Sabarimala pilgrims collided in Pathanamthitta. The accident took place at around 2 am today. The bus travelling from Nilakkal to Pamba collided with the bus travelling to Nilakkal near Attathodu.

According to sources, the accident occurred after the driver of the bus going to Pamba dozed off while driving. Two injured people were admitted to Pathanamthitta General Hospital. Four people were shifted to Kottayam Medical College for specialised treatment.
