Ayodhya all set to witness Prana Pratishta; Ram Lalla to open its eyes today; watch it live

AYODHYA: The auspicious moment that the devotees of Sri Rama have been dreaming of for centuries has arrived. The temple that paved the way for changing the political face of independent India is becoming a reality today.

The Prana Pratishta of Ram Lalla idol will take place today between 12:20 PM and 12:45 PM at the Sri Rama Temple in Ayodhyapuri, which fills the Sri Rama Keerthanams. It is reported that anjanam will be applied to the eyes of the idol with a golden needle to open the Lord's eyes. This will be done from the side of the idol. It is believed that the Ram Lalla idol will turn into a god with full glory with this. Following that, the devotees can offer prayers to the deity. Priests also say that Ram Lalla, who has the cuteness and radiance of a five-year-old boy, will shower blessings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Temple Trust President Nritya Gopal Das will be present at the shrine during Prana Pratishta. Laxmikant Dikshit of Varanasi is the chief priest. 14 couples from the North, South, East, West and North-East of the country will be present as 'Mukhya Yajaman'.

Ayodhya wide awake

Ayodhya has not slept yesterday. The city is in a festive mood, all dressed up for Prana Pratishtha. There is a flow of devotees everywhere. More than 2500 artists are performing on over 100 stages. Shri Ram chants anywhere, Prasad getting distributed. Strict police restrictions are not bothering the devotees. They are coming by foot, crossing kilometres. Artists dressed as Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana can be seen on the streets. Prayers and pujas were held in the houses at night. Lights can be seen everywhere. The Ram temple was bathed in lights. Only those with a pass are allowed into the temple area today.

Modi in Ayodhya at 10:25

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been on Vrata for 11 days as part of Prana Pratishtha. He will spend five hours in Ayodhya. He will reach Ayodhya airport at 10.25 am and reach the temple by 10.55 am. After prana pratishta, he will leave for the assemblage spot around one o'clock. After the meeting, he will pray at the Kuber Tila temple in Ayodhya and then return to Delhi.

'Mangal Dhvani' of 50 instruments

Ahead of the Prana Pratishtha, there is a 'Mangal Dhwani' musical feast of more than 50 instruments from different states. This is with the help of Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.

Strict, tight security

There are 13,000 security personnel in the city. 10,000 CCTVs for police surveillance. Patrolling is intensified in areas where VIPs will go. The temple is guarded by UP Police, UP Special Security Force and CRPF. UP anti-terror commandos are patrolling. There are drones, the National Disaster Response Force, and the bomb squad.
