Actor Fahadh Faasil has opted out of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s new movie starring superstar Rajinikanth. The Malayalam star withdrew after experiencing a schedule clash with other movies. ‘Coolie’ started shooting in Hyderabad on July 5 and is currently progressing in Chennai. Other stars are Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj.

And now, the makers have replaced Fahad with Malayalam star Soubin Shahir. ‘Coolie’ is being prepared as a big-budget mass-action film. The film tells the story of gold smuggling by an underworld gang through a port in Tamil Nadu. Produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, it is Thalaivar's( Rajinikanth's) 171st film in his career. The film will also be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages.

  • Cinematography by Girish Gangadharan
  • Music by Anirudh Ravichandar
  • Editing by Philomin Raj
  • Action by Anbariv brothers.

On another note, Soubin Shahir’s 'Machante Malakha' is gearing up for release. Directed by Boban Samuel, the film is produced by Abraham Mathew and has Namitha Pramod as female lead.
