Smriti Mandhana show! Indian team beats Bangladesh to enter Asia Cup finals

DHAMBULLA: India in the final of Women's Asia Cup cricket. India defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the semi-final. Chasing a target of 81 runs, India won with nine overs to spare. Pakistan is facing Sri Lanka in the second semi-final. The winners of this match will be India's opponents in the final.

Opener Smriti Mandhana scored a half-century of 55*(39) while Shafali Verma scored 26*(28) for India as they chased down the narrow target. Smriti Mandhana's innings included nine fours and a six. Bangladesh, who batted first, were kept under control by Renuka Singh, who took three wickets and conceded only ten runs in four overs. Radha Yadav also took three wickets conceding only 14 runs in four overs. Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each.

Only two people in the Bangladesh batting line-up crossed the double figure. Captain Niger Sultana 32(51) and Shorna Akhtar 19(18) were the only ones to hold on. India qualified for the final without losing a single match. Indian women defeated Pakistan, UAE and Nepal in the group stage.
