THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran MP said that the Pinarayi government used the state police to whitewash the bribery allegation levelled against the Health Minister's office. Sudhakaran also demanded a thorough investigation into all the appointment bribery scandals that took place during the term of the Pinarayi government.

"The Home Department is protecting the accused by settling all the allegations levelled against some of the ministers in the cabinet. As part of this, the police team, that investigated the bribery allegation against the health minister's office, gave a clean chit to the health minister's office by pointing out that the allegation was fabricated. No honest and impartial investigation was conducted into the matter," Sudhakaran said.

"In a similar way, CPM members are the ones who took bribes in the names of ministers and MLAs to get PSC membership and later returned the money and settled the case to avoid getting caught. The CPM leadership protected the culprits in that case as well. Perhaps if the media had not brought out the recruitment scams in government departments, the Pinarayi government would have hired a large number of unqualified people through the back door by taking huge bribes. Recruitment scams have become a way for CPM and LDF to earn money," Sudhakaran added.
