Youth stuck in flash floods rescued after hours, trying to bring him ashore

WAYANAD: A youth stuck in the flash floods following a landslide in Meppadi Mundakkayi was rescued after hours. The youth rescued was trapped in the mud near the place where water gushed in the landslide after damaging the houses.

Although the flow of the flash floods reduced in this part, he was covered in the mud. The visuals of the person stuck in the mud up to his knees had surfaced earlier. The rescue workers could not reach him in the beginning. After overcoming the current, the rescue workers reached and pulled him out.

The rescue workers were able to pull him out after a two-hour-long effort. He was saved after hours of worry. The rescue workers gave him water. All efforts are taken to bring him ashore.
