THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a change in the timing of train services to Kerala as rain continues in various districts. A train has been partially canceled. Another train’s time has been rescheduled.
Train number 20634 Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod Vande Bharat Express, which was supposed to depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.15 am, departed two hours and 15 minutes late at 7.30 am. Kanyakumari-Mangaluru Central 16650 Parashuram Express has been partially cancelled. The train scheduled to depart from Kanyakumari at 3.45 am today has been canceled from Kanyakumari to Shornur. This train will start service from Shornur.
Four trains were completely canceled yesterday due to heavy rain. Guruvayur- Thrissur Daily Express, Thrissur-Guruvayur Daily Express, Shornur-Thrissur Daily Express and Thrissur-Shornur Daily Express have been canceled. 10 trains have been partially cancelled. The Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi service was operated only up to Shornur.
Orange alert has been issued in five districts today as heavy rain continues. Heavy rains are predicted in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. Yellow alert has been sounded in Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad.
