Those who have gone on holiday usually return home in mid-August. This is the reason why air ticket prices generally go up sharply during this time. Many schools in the UAE have decided to open after the summer vacation in August 26. Travel agents in Dubai said the increase in ticket prices to the UAE is due to increased demand in many destinations in the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
Since more than half of the UAE population are South Indian nationals, there has been a huge increase in ticket prices from India to the UAE. It is reported that the flight ticket prices especially from Mumbai and Kerala have increased by more than 50 percent.
The exorbitant fares from India to UAE were raised in Parliament recently. Due to the increase in the number of passengers, there is a constant demand from residents and travel agents to increase the seating capacity on flights connecting the UAE and India.
