KALPATTA: Actor and Territorial Army Lt. Major Ravi along with Colonel Mohanlal had reached the landslide area in Wayanad the other day. Both came in military uniform. Now a complaint is being raised against director and ex-military officer Major Ravi. The complaint is against visiting the disaster affected area in military uniform.
The complaint was that Major Ravi visiting the disaster spot in uniform was against army rules. The complaint was filed by RA Arun, a retired army officer. According to the complaint, it is a violation of the Defense Service Regulations for a retiree to wear military uniform.
Major Ravi, who visited Wayanad in uniform, misused the military uniform. Major Ravi's action will mislead the public and those involved in the rescue mission. Moreover, the security issue will also be raised. His act encourages the misuse of military uniforms. It is also a threat to national security. Action should be taken against Major Ravi and ensure that the dignity of the Indian military uniform is preserved.
'I am proud of the service rendered by the army in the face of disaster. But Major Ravi's actions, including taking photos in military uniform and sharing them on social media, are strongly condemned,' said the complaint.
