Kannur Central Jail prisoner murdered by another inmate, arrested

KANNUR: An inmate of Kannur Central Jail was murdered by another prisoner. The dead is 86-year-old Karunakaran of Kolayad Alachery. The incident happened Sunday night.

Karunakaran died after attacked by another inmate. The postmortem report said that he lost his life after beaten by a stick. The accused was arrested soon after the incident. An investigation has started under the leadership of Kannur Town Inspector Sreejith Koderi.
