MEPPADI: Minister A K Saseendran joined the ongoing search for the missing individuals in Mundakkai, Wayanad, a region recently devastated by a landslide. Overcome with emotion, the minister broke down in tears in front of the media upon witnessing a son desperately searching for his father, who is among the missing.

"It's a heart-wrenching experience. I never imagined I would have to witness such scenes in my life. What can I say to them? We must try to save them. Those who have been found need to be rescued immediately. We must help them return to their lives as before. They should be given the necessary conditions to live a normal life. The government will do everything it can to ensure this. Our words and actions must be aimed at bringing them back to life," Minister Saseendran stated.

Meanwhile, the search today uncovered human remains in the disaster-stricken area of Mundakkai. Among the remains found by volunteers and forest teams in Parappanpara were three body parts, including two legs.

Today's search efforts were concentrated in six zones, including Mundakkai and Chooralmala. Volunteers from various camps were mobilized for the operation, with 126 people still reported missing. Local representatives, volunteers, and others are actively participating in the search. Tomorrow's efforts will shift to the lower parts of the river, where rescue forces will intensify their search.
