THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Uncertainty surrounds the release of the Justice Hema Committee report, which examines the challenges faced by women in the film industry. A final decision on the report's release is now expected tomorrow morning, as the High Court prepares to hear actress Ranjini's petition on Monday. The government was forced to rethink its decision to release the report tomorrow after Ranjini approached the High Court seeking a stay on the release of the report.

With the court set to consider the case on Monday, the government informed that it would take a final decision on the release of the report tomorrow morning. The government had earlier directed reporters who requested the report under the Right to Information Act to appear at 11 am tomorrow. Sources suggest that the government may announce its final decision on the report's release before 11 am.

In her petition, actress Ranjini urged the court to ensure that there is no violation of privacy in the report to be published. The actress, who had given her statement before the Hema Committee, pointed out that the report should be released by providing a copy to those who gave the statement.

Although the main part of the Hema Committee report containing the findings and recommendations is said to be free of controversies, it is indicated that the annexure contains some shocking information. This section contains statements and documents provided by women in the film industry against some prominent film personalities.
