THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A full emergency has been declared at Thiruvananthapuram Airport on Thursday following a bomb threat on an Air India flight arriving from Mumbai. The flight landed safely at the airport. After evacuating the passengers safely, the flight was moved to an isolation bay.
The threat was communicated by the pilot to Air Traffic Control as the aircraft neared the airport. A full emergency was declared at the airport in the morning. There were 135 passengers on board.
Security measures have been heightened at the airport following the threat. The incident is under investigation. The threat’s origin and other information are still pending. It can also be a fake message as many flights have received such fake messages recently.
