DHAKA: In an unsettling incident, the body of popular Bangla journalist Sarah Rahanuma was found floating in Hatirjheel Lake on Wednesday evening. Sara Rahanuma (32), newsroom editor of Gazi TV in Bangladesh is the victim. Horus before the death, Sarah posted cryptic notes about death on her Facebook page which adds to the mystery.

A person named Sagar helped Sara from the lake to the shore and took her to the hospital. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College, but her life couldn’t be saved. Inspector Bachu Mia responded that Sara was not alive when she was brought to the hospital. In one of her final Facebook stories, Sarah said “It is better to die than to live a life akin to death”. She had tagged her friend Faheem Faisal in her final Facebook post.

“It was nice having a friend like you. God bless you always. I know we had lot of plans together but sorry, I can’t fulfill that” Sarah tagged Faheem in this post. It is doubted that the journalist committed suicide over personnel issues alerting her life.
