NEW DELHI: According to the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG), a staggering 4.45 crore cases are currently pending across courts in India, from the Supreme Court to the Munsiff Court. Among these, over 36 lakh cases involve women as complainants, and 83,000 cases are pending in the Supreme Court alone.
In Kerala, a total of 18 lakh cases remain unresolved, with more than two and a half lakh of these pending in the High Court. Of the 1,88,687 cases filed by women in Kerala, 54,347 are criminal cases.
In July alone, 25,79,851 new cases were filed in courts across the country, while 27,41,525 cases were disposed of during the same period.
