'He hasn't done anything concrete for party'; Simi Rosebell John against opposition leader V D Satheesan

KOCHI: AICC member Simi Rosebell John’s rare criticism against opposition leader V D Satheesan has already put the party in the dock. In an interview allowed to a private channel, Simi lashed out at the leader for denying her opportunities and warned of revealing unsavoury dealings within the party if the neglect continues.

SIMI ROSEBELL:

“Despite the support of the KPCC president and other leaders, Satheesan is denying me the opportunity to come to the forefront within the party. Satheesan and his clique are trying to cut me down within the party. Hibi Eden MP is also in the gang along with the opposition leader. It is rather amusing that I need permission from V D Satheesan to work for the party. He hasn’t done anything serious in all these years and his contribution to Congress will not even match to what I have done.

Or do need to take permission from Hibi Eden who came to politics just 15 years back, only to carry forward his late father's legacy?

Deepti Mary Varghese, who is junior to me, was made KPCC General Secretary and given the responsibility of the media department, only to make me aware that the leadership doesn’t favour me anymore.

Will any other party allow a personality like Deepti to continue with them, after all she has done? She worked to defeat a congress candidate and made an open rebellion against the party. Still, she remains the KPCC general secretary. Satheesan once told me to leave the party and sit at home. It was strange and humiliating coming from a politician who advocates righteousness.”

Congress has not yet responded to the allegations made by Simi Rose Bell John.
