Investigation officers reach capital city's famous hotel; strong evidence against actor Siddique

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police on Sunday reached Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram to collect evidence regarding the sexual assault case involving actor Siddique. The complainant showed the room to the investigation officers. It was confirmed that Siddique was staying in room 101-D on January 28, 2016. The statement of the friend who accompanied the complainant to the hotel was also recorded.

Proving some of the allegations right, the police received confirmation through documents that Siddique was in the Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram at the time of the incident. It was also confirmed that Siddique attended the preview of a movie in Thiruvananthapuram along with the actress. The actress had earlier complained of sexual assault from actor Siddique inside the hotel room in 2016.

It was in the wake of Hema committee report that the actress came forward with the allegation. She also revealed about getting news from many of her friends within the industry of facing similar harassment from Siddique.
