Thiruvananthapuram native dies after boat capsizes in Oman waters

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Vizhinjam native died after his boat capsized while fishing in Oman. Relatives on Tuesday received the death news of Jose Manuel (44), a native of Vizhinjam Thulavila. Jose went fishing with three other natives of Puthiyathura but the boat capsized due to strong winds and waves. All three escaped by swimming.

Jose was found and brought ashore but his life could not be saved. Relatives have received information that the condition of one of the accident victims is critical and is undergoing treatment. Municipal Councilor Paniyadima John informed that steps are being taken to bring Jose's body home. Jose's wife: Suni. Children: Dixon, Angel and Jaison.
