THAMARASSERY: Actress Manju Warrier in a resolute statement said that the Malayalam industry will live as long as people love it. The actress stated this while attending an inauguration ceremony in Thamarassery. Actor Tovino Thomas was also in attendance at the event. Manju Warrier’s comments come amidst the ongoing crisis in the Malayalam film industry.

Manju Warrier’s response came in the context of allegations and controversies about sexual exploitation and drug use in the Malayalam film industry after the release of the Hema Committee report.

“Tovino and me, we are here today as celebrities only because of the Malayalam film industry. Unfortunately, the industry is going through an unprecedented crisis. Let us wait for the dark clouds marring the industry to move away and brighter days to arrive. As long as we get love from people, Malayalam film industry will live and nothing is going to happen” said Manju Warrier.
