Insurance company murder: Person who died along with Vaishna is her second husband Binu, police obtain CCTV footage

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is indicated that the second person who died in the fire at the New India Assurance Company office in Pappanamcode is Binu, the second husband of Vaishna. According to sources, police have obtained CCTV footage of Binu walking into the office. The police have collected a DNA sample to confirm that the deceased is indeed Binu.

According to the police, Binu was the one who set Vaishna on fire after pouring kerosene on her. The police suspect that he had stabbed her before setting her on fire. A knife was found in the room where the fire broke out. Vaishna's first husband and Binu were friends. After her divorce, she had been living with Binu. However, they had been estranged for the past seven months. Four months ago, the two had a dispute at the insurance company in Pappanamcode.

The fire broke out at around 1:30 pm yesterday. Although locals rushed to the scene and tried to douse the fire by pouring water, they were unsuccessful. Soon, the Fire Force arrived and completely extinguished the fire. Initially, the police suspected that the fire was caused by an AC explosion or a short circuit, but the investigation revealed that it was not the case.
