KANNUR: In a scathing press conference on Friday, PV Anvar MLA accused the Chief Minister's office of inaction on complaints filed with them. He claimed that complaints are routinely handed over to the Political Secretary, where they are effectively shelved. Anvar cited past experiences of party workers whose complaints yielded no results.
Anvar revealed that he had filed a complaint with the Chief Minister and the party's state secretary but did not mention P Sasi's name. However, he announced plans to file a fresh complaint against P Sasi soon.
"MV Govindan's statement that P Sasi's name was not mentioned in the complaint I filed is correct. The CPM Parliamentary Party meeting will only be held before the next assembly session. Since I cannot wait until then, I publicly spoke about these matters and filed a complaint with both of them," Anvar said.
"If this situation continues, I demand that a women's police investigation team should investigate the complaints I have raised. Individuals who wish to report a complaint against the police can do so by sending a message to the WhatsApp number 8304855901. I want good officers from the police department to investigate the complaints I have filed. I will provide all the evidence I have to the investigation team. The DIG has asked me to appear before him tomorrow with evidence to record my statement. I'm sure that no one can influence the probe," Anvar added.
