'Let police investigate the claim that Nivin was in Kerala', says complaint

KOCHI: The woman and her husband who have filed a harassment complaint against actor Nivin Pauly are giving their statements to the police at Aluva. The woman has said that the police investigate the claim that Nivin was in Kerala during the time of the alleged incident.

The complaint alleges that Nivin Pauly raped the woman at a hotel in Dubai in November and December 2023, specifically on December 14. However, Vineeth Srinivasan, the director of the film "Varshangalkk Shesham," has stated that Nivin was with him on the film's location on December 14, 2023. Actress Parvathy has also confirmed that she was with Nivin on the film's set on the day of the alleged molestation.

In response, Nivin Pauly has filed a complaint asserting that the case is fabricated and requesting an investigation into the conspiracy. He has also submitted a copy of his passport to support his claim, noting that he has not stayed at the hotel mentioned in the complaint since 2021.

The Oonnunkal police have registered a case against six, including Nivin Pauly, who is listed as the sixth accused. The other accused are Shreya from Kottayam, film producer AK Sunil from Thrissur and Binu, Basheer and Kuttan from Ernakulam.
