THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Director Soumya Sadanandan has made a serious allegation that an actress was offered money and asked for sexual favours. Soumya revealed that she was banned from the film because she opposed it. This was said through a post shared on social media. Soumya Sadanandan is the director of ‘Mangalyam Thanthunanena’ starring Kunchacko Boban.
She shared the ordeal she had to go through in the film with a note saying, "Thank you to the committee for bringing back my smile." Soumya alleges that even the good guys in the film have a different face and that her first film was edited by the lead actor and co-producer without her knowledge. After the first film, producers did not collaborate with other projects. Soumya stated in a social media post that even women producers were approached with the new project but to no avail.
Meanwhile, a special police team has been appointed to investigate the woman's sexual harassment complaint against actor Baburaj. A special team led by Thodupuzha DySP will conduct the investigation. As part of the investigation, the complainant will be taken to the places where the alleged harassment took place and evidence will be collected.
The woman's complaint was that Baburaj molested her at his house in Aluva and at the resort in Kampiline, Idukki, after offering an opportunity to act.
