THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has intervened in the allegation raised by PV Anvar, an MLA of the ruling front. The Governor has sought a report from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the phone-tapping allegation raised by Anvar. The Raj Bhavan has directed the Chief Minister to promptly investigate the matter and submit a report on the actions taken. Earlier, Anvar had alleged that the ADGP had tapped the phones of several people, including ministers.

The Governor stated that the MLA's allegation of phone tapping is serious. In addition, he pointed out that Anvar himself had openly admitted to tapping police officers' phones, which should also be taken seriously.

Meanwhile, the CPI(M) is making efforts to quickly resolve the allegations raised by PV Anvar against ADGP MR Ajith Kumar and the subsequent controversies. The party is trying to put an end to the issues as it feels that the controversies have severely tarnished the government's image.

The CPI(M), which is taking a cautious approach in the matter, will primarily focus on taking measures to prevent Anvar from making further allegations. However, it remains to be seen how successful this will be. Reports suggest that ADGP Ajith Kumar may be removed from law and order duties to calm down Anvar. Additionally, an investigation will also be launched against Ajith Kumar.
